We had a great time with Cody on our trip to the beach!
He's a great dog!
WATSON
Gloria, I just wanted to give you an update on Watson’s first month with our family. I have attached pictures (1st vet appointment, passed out after a long day of playing with Aunt Roxi (my mom’s dog), first night meeting his big
brother Mason, and posing in the old fashioned tub).
Watson has adjusted well. As you can see I kept
his name. His full name is now Sir Watson Theodore. Within the
first 2 days he had learned how to sit and the first week he learned to
shake and lay down. He occasionally has an
accident in the house (this usually happens because he just sits by the
door and doesn’t bark or scratch so we don’t realize he needs to go
out) but he is 98% potty trained. He is very affectionate and cuddles
in bed with me every night (either above my head
or right by my side). He has play dates almost everyday with his buddy
Cooper (the neighbors Lab/Coonhound mix puppy) and if we can’t find
him, he has usually wondered over to Cooper’s and is sitting on the
porch looking in their door to see if Cooper is
home. He is doing well and growing like a weed. I haven’t weighted
him in the past few days but he has to be over 30 lbs by now.
Everyone who meets him loves him. He has been a
perfect fit for our family and I am so happy that I found him after
losing Tobias. My mom goes through withdraw if she doesn’t get to see
him. If he’s not under my feet, he is under her’s.
I will try and keep you posted as he grows. The
new litter of puppies are adorable! I love to look at them each week to
see how they’ve grown.

Adi
Lincroft, New Jersey
UPDATE: Robert and Dawn are happy very pleased to say that Adi has been a wonderful addition to their family. Robert wasn't sure he wanted a dog, but now she sleeps with them. She is great with the kids! She has an excellent disposition and is even patient when the kids get rough. She does shed and seems to have more of the Lab hair. She does better after grooming and a trim. Her outer coat of hair was more bristly but after the hair cut the hair underneath is very soft. She does love to bark. She weighs 50 lbs.

Bella
in Waterford, Pennsylvania
2012 UPDATE: Here are some updated pictures of Alexia now named Bella at one year old.
Peggy says that she is energetic and needs lots of exercise and
training, but she's smart and knows hand signals. She is also good with
the grandchildren and can sense when someone isn't feeling well. She
loves to socialize with other dogs. Her hair grew long and course so
Denny & Peggy gave her a sophisticated - looking schnauzer hair
cut. She also surprised us and grew a reddish brown "beard" around her
snout. I think she's adorable! She weighs 52 lbs at one year.

Annie
Elysburg, Pennsylvania
2012 Update: Annie is one year old now and here is an updated pic. Isn't she a beauty!!
Susan says that she is doing well and is well loved and well behaved.
She likes her morning run. She has a very good temperament. Her coat of
hair is soft and beautiful. She is not completely non shedding. Susan
brushes her hair and keeps her looking great. Susan said that they are
very happy with her.
Colt
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Update 2012: Jason says: Colt
is doing very well. He weights around 60-65lbs and his coat is white
with shades of gold. He head and neck are have curly hair, like a
poodle, but the rest of his body has straight hair, like a lab. I
couldn't imagine him having a better personality and he is incredibly
smart and well behaved. He has a lot of energy but if you let him run
around for 30-60 minutes a day that seems to tire him out.
He LOVES the water!

Max
Hillburn, New York
Max -February 3rd 2013 UPDATE:
Hi gloria,
Here are some pics of Max and Rambo. He is just an amazing boy,
the two of them are getting great now. Max is now 61lbs. The only thing
he does that is too excessive is shed (alot), but we don't care, he is
still a great bundle of joy, always happy. His tail never stops wagging
and he just wants to be hugged and loved, which he is.
Take care, Steve and Ellie
Max -September 2013 Update:
Hi Gloria,
Here is a cool pic of max. He loves to sit like this on the couch. He is still the coolest boy. Hope all is well.
Keep in touch, Steve and Ellie

Ziggy
Burlington Vermont
June update:
Good Morning Croutch Family!
As promised we would give you guys updates on our lil' (not so much)
Ziggy! Since his 4 month birthday was just last week we figured it would
be a good time to show you the growing boy!
Ziggy so far has been VERY easy to train! He learned some new tricks
these past few weeks and is very good at "shake" and "leave it." Two
weeks ago we re-introduced him to the lake, when he was younger he
wasn't so fond of it but then again it WAS a bit chilly to begin with.
However, now he is learning to swim we're thinking he's going to be a
water pooch! He goes on daily trips to the local dog park and we must
say he's NOT shy, he has a group of friends he plays with all the time
and its just the cutest thing! But as active as he is he's also quite
the snuggle bug -which is what I like personally, gives "momma" a break
from running around. At the end of the month we will be taking a mini
vacation to Maine where he will be introduced to the ocean - we'll see
how that goes!
As of his last vet visit he was weighed at 29 lbs so he's now well over 30!
Ruslan & Emily & Ziggy
UPDATE
He is amazing! Super obedient, LOVES fetch and loves everybody he
encounters. We are hoping in the near future he will be a "big brother"
to another little guy, but we love him so much and couldn't expect to
have a better dog.
Cabella Duchess
Berlin, Pennsylvania
Cabella Update:
I am sending some pics of a puppy named "Duchess" we got from you
on March 31st. We have named her "Cabella Duchess" and she is doing
fine. She is 32 lbs and still growing, and she loves to be the center of
attention.
She has brought us much joy in our family. I thought you might like
these pictures of her.

BOOMER
IN CONNECTICUT
Hi Gloria!
We love him....he is such a sweetie pie...such
a cuddle bug! He did fantastic in the car.....slept in the front seat
and was great. They got to CT around 11...
We put the crate
in my daughter's room and the minute he whimpered she put him in
her bed and he never moved....such a good boy! We'll work on the crate
tonight!.....maybe..haha!
He played all day with the kids
while I worked in my garden.....he was so exhausted and took a long nap.
I'll send some pictures....we've taken a bunch!
We are soooo in love with this little guy!
Thanks so so much!

BOOMER 3 MONTH UPDATE:
Hey Gloria
I just wanted to give you a little update on Boomer.... He's doing great and is so much fun! Here's a picture of him going shopping for the first time. Everyone in Home Goods loved him! He is so smart and is pretty much housebroken! He sleeps with my daughter every night and has never had an accident during the night.... He does not like the crate which he has to go in when we leave the house. He is getting used to being around other dogs and I bring him to my son's lacrosse games and he has been playing with any dog that will play with him...so cute!!
He is a scream! We just love watching his antics!
My son brought him in the pool and he didn't know what to do
......he was splashing like he was swimming, while Ryan was holding
him! I remember it took Chip a while to get used to the water and when
he did he was always jumping in just to cool off......I'm sure Boomer
will do that too.
He is totally spoiled......he always goes in the car whenever I do
errands but insists on laying across my lap which has to end soon
because he is getting so big.
Boomer loves his toys and plays constantly with ALL of them so they
are all over the house...along with socks, towels, sandals........he is
such a thief!
After losing both my great dane Jack, and then my labradoodle Chip
just 6 weeks ago, he is really helping all of us laugh again!
I'll keep sending pictures!
Thanks again for our special guy!
xo......Kerry

Chloe
Muncy Pennsylannia
Chloe is doing wonderful! She didn't seem to mind the ride home... and licked a few pieces of ice on the way... She loves to sleep with us...and on the couch with me...she actually went into her kennel from choice for a couple minutes today...but has not spent long in it at all... she is going potty outside for me now...after 2 mishaps in the kennel ( she was barely in it tho). She is such a cuddle-love and a lap dog and all that...she is doing well learning to walk on the leash...coming when I say "Chloe come", and she is just as you said her personality was! I love her so much already. She loves her toys and seems to redirect well if told to stop chewing on something she should not. She prob would have cried the first night if i had left her in the kennel...but I just couldn't do it. She even let me sleep in this morning with her! She is such a joy! We put a doggie bed on the bedroom floor and she spends some time on that too.She barks only when she wants to tell us something lol, and she is so calm about things.. TTYL!

CHLOE 3 month update
CHLOE 6 month update
Hi Gloria,
Thought I'd share with you that Chloe got spayed
(spelling?) this morning. She is still loopy from the anesthesia and
sleeping. It was hard to leave her there this morning. Yep, I cried.
Anyway, she weighed in at 46.7 pounds, and not quite 6 months of age
yet! I wonder how the rest of the pups are weighing in!TTYL

Chloe - 1 year update:
HI Gloria,
Just thought I'd say Hi. Chloe is much loved and brings us so much
joy. She was a year in March. She weighed in at the vets several weeks
ago at 64.2 pounds ( just about what you estimated). I was so happy to
see you put a pic of Chloe's Daddy up! (And I saw Chloe's pic on the
top of your web site!I can see she looks a lot like him and has his body
shape. She goes for grooming about every 5 weeks...I love when her hair
is short and
soft...with a nice trim job of her face. Everyone in awhile I check
your web site...I love seeing pics of Chloe's siblings. I keep hoping I
will run into her siblings here in our area. I see another went home to
Muncy PA.
And one to South Wmpt.! She has sooo much character! She will always
be a lap dog...and loves to lay on me. She's a very cuddly,
touchy-feeling girl. The kennel is no longer needed. She sleeps with us
every night.
Talk to you later!

Molly
Jacksonville, North Carolina
Hi Gloria,
Candy is now Molly and she sleeps through the night like a log. We have a ways to go with her potty training. She is pretty good most of the time, but we are not completely house trained. But, she can swim. We took her to the ocean and took her to the inlet area where we live and she loved the sand and took to the water like a duck. She was so much fun to watch and run with. Next trip to the beach I'll take pictures and send them to you all.
Molly was asleep most of the way back home. She was a great little traveler.
She has gained 5 pounds and her legs keep getting longer and longer. HA!!!!
Thank you for such a wonderful puppy she has and will bring great joy to our family.
Thank you,
Barbra and Paul
Update:
Hi Gloria,
Now that I am back to school I find I have very little free
time; but Molly is the love of our lives; she and Zoe our cat have become good
playmates for one another. They both
love sleeping at night on the same bed but want space between them.
Molly had her last shot for a while and weighed 38 pounds two
weeks ago. The Vet feels she will be about 60 pounds by the time she is a year
old. She has the longest legs, true Poodle legs. Molly
was basically house trained in 2 weeks.
She loves to play ball and has about 15 stuffed animals that
she plays with. For a while she was
trying to chew just about anything she could get her teeth into. Now that most of her baby teeth are out she
is much better about chewing chair legs.
I've been training her to focus on looking at me and focusing on one
thing at a time. She is truly a smart
dog and she responds to commands and follows instructions well, such as coming
to you, sitting and giving you her paw, and is trying to sit up on her back
legs. We didn’t even try to teach her
this trick she just has been trying to do it on her own.
I will try to send you’ll some pictures soon. Molly by the way looks as if she may have gray
and some brown tones in her coat.
Thank you for such a loving dog.

Minion
Holidaysburg Pennsylvania
May update:
Puppy is doing well. We re-named him, Minion. He hasn't really shed much. He adjusted very quickly and didn't cry at all. He has already gotten bigger though and has figured out how to get up on the couch. The cat hasn't adjusted to him yet and she stays upstairs but she's made a few trips downstairs to see him so it's only a matter of time until she is comfortable. All of the neighborhood kids love him and they each take turns taking him outside. He hasn't had very many accidents so we are happy about that. We will be sure and send pictures!

Carli
Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania
Hi Gloria,
I wanted to give you an update on Carli. She
did a great job in the car yesterday - very calm. When we got home, she
didn't like her crate very much, but she LOVES her new doggie bed. She
slept almost all night on it, only getting up twice to go outside!! She
has had only one accident in the house...she is doing great
with house training. What a sweet and playful puppy. Thanks so much! Patti
Update:
Hi Gloria! Good to hear from you! Carli is doing well.
She has such a great temperament and loves children and other dogs.
The kids keep her busy. She's a jumper so we're working on that. She
is still playful, but also likes to just chill out. The only thing that
really gets her going is our cats! She thinks they are toys! Training
was rough in the beginning, but then I learned the trick of hanging a
bell on our door. Once I put the bell on and showed her how to use it,
she was fully house trained within a few days. I was a little worried
she might chew furniture, etc. because I've heard that about labs, but
she has never done anything like that. She was about 45 pounds the last
time we weighed her (maybe a week and a half ago) so I think she's
right on track. Her coat has other colors in it now...you can see some
brown on her beard and some white on her back...it's really cute.
I'll try to get a good picture with my phone and send it to you. Hope
all is well with you and your family.

Cooper
Lewisburg Pa
Hi Gloria,
He is doing great! We actually named him Cooper. He cried the first few nights. Now he goes in the crate about 11:30 or 12:00 and wakes me up about 5:00. He doesn't cry.
The
house training is still in progress. He still needs to learn to tell me
when he needs to go out. He's getting the hang of it most of the time.
He seems to be very smart. He learned his name really fast and is sitting and fetching.
The kids are really enjoying him.
Thanks for checking in.
Leanne
Update
Hi Gloria,
Cooper is doing great! He is a handful. We started puppy training classes last week - it's going well so far.
He is about 45 lb

Casi
Watsontown, Pennsylvania
She is a dream! She slept through the night since the third night and
even the first couple nights, she only whined for 10 minutes or less.
She is soo laid back and sooo smart. She is starting to go to the door
to pee but hasn't mastered it yet. She is a huge cuddler. My kids and
I, and everyone else are all so in
love with this puppy. She has been to the vet and was 11.6 pounds this
past Friday.
Good health! She is so easy in the car. Completely low maintenance. Her
name is still "Casi" but spelled with a "s" ...my daughter picked the
spelling, but kept the same name. I think I was suppose
to see that sign that day and she is suppose to be part of our family.
Thank you so much! I will take a photo soon and send it to you. She
seems to be getting a few curls but not too many. She is a doll!
Casi -10 1/2 weeks Update!
Casi - Update
Casi is the Sweetest, most hilarious dog
ever! She is about 32 lbs. She was just spayed 2 weeks ago. She has
really super long legs and a tiny
body. Curls all over her nose and a few on head, but otherwise lab
characteristics.. Her chin has turned lighter and slightly tan. We just
love her. She has the BEST temperment. She sits and tolerated a bath,
learned to sit, stay, lay down, and come...she still tries to hog all of
the attention from our other elder dog but they don't fight too much
anymore. He grumbles, and she antagonizes him till he just gives
up....it is kind of funny. She now has graduated from sleeping in
a kennel to sleeping by the bed at night. She barked in the morning sooo
much that we finally broke and gave up the kennel. She doesn't chew up
anything except dryer sheets but she is known to take off with the yarn
or a sock from time to time. No damage though. She is really a great dog
and I would have to say she is the BEST natured dog I have ever
had. Here is a pic but it doesn't capture her personality at all. I will
try to sen a better one later. (we kept telling her to sit in this one
and I think she thought she was in trouble)lol
